Verification Process and Schedule
The verification process typically includes the following steps:
- Conflict of Interest Review
- Kick-off Meeting
- Verification Plan
- Site Visit
- Sampling Plan
- Data Checks
- Verification Report
- Verification Statement
Depending upon the scope of the project, the verification process takes 8 to 12 weeks to complete.
To control costs whenever possible we can tailor the verification process to meet your budget. Strategies to control costs include:
- Providing "limited assurance" instead of "reasonable assurance";
- Limiting the boundary of a project to a specific facility;
- Doing "desk audits" instead of site visits;
- Limiting the number of site visits;
- Limiting the scope of the data to be verified (i.e. greenhouse gas emissions only)
